Well it would have been if I could have remembered my password. Rolling Eyes

I'm Steve. Am I living off the grid? Well, "I'm trying to" would be my answer. Since I read John Seymour's book as a kid I've always had a dream to become self sufficient, own a farm, a couple of 'machines' and grow everything I needed. Only problems are time, money and a complete lack of a green thumb. Cows look easy to grow though - can man live on meat alone I wonder?

Hi Steve,

Great to have you aboard. We have had some other new members who have some great horticultural/permaculture experience, so it would be great for you to get some advice from them around growing the garden variety of food.

So cool that you read John Seymour's book as a child. Were/are your parents into self sufficient living?
